Growing up in a farming community in NC, I started working at a young age. No one knows exactly how old I was, but we all agree that it was around 13. At 13, I was eager to make my own money to buy the extras and save for a rainy day. Through my early teen years I worked on a farm, in a grocery store, and pet store. During college I worked for a building supply company and at the headquarters for a fast food company -- Hardee's. It was there that I got introduced and hooked on security and loss prevention. I stayed with it, moving up in responsibility before moving to Richmond, Va and my current employer, Capital One. I have worked at Capital One for 15 years progressively moving up to my current role, Director Corporate Security. I remain close to my roots and always hold on to the fact that it takes time, dedication and want to succeed in life. I am only in my early 40's and look forward to the next 20 years of work and family life dedication.
