I started my working life as a joiner in the construction industry. After about 10 years I felt like a change in career and so went into sales, but found my work life was not as fulfilling as I wanted it to be, so studied and passed examinations to become a fully qualified Acupuncture Practitioner. In order to supplement my income from complementary therapies, I started to write articles for the internet. This, in turn, led to the discovery of internet marketing, which I am now heavily involved in today.

I began my professional career as a young entrepreneur. At 18, I got enough financial backing to open a mid to high-end audio store in Shreveport, LA. I ran the store while attending LSU-Shreveport full time. The store was fairly successful until lack of experience taught me some hard lessons. After closing the store, I went to work for a local chain, my former competitors. I was a store manager for them, producing high figures. In 1989, I was offered the opportunity to go west to seek my fortunes. I went to work for The Good Guys!, a west-coast chain of electronics stores. I was a store manager, and corporate sales trainer for them. I left the company in 1993 to go into car sales. In the automotive sales field, I started as a lot salesman, working my way up to general manager of a Toyota store before I was 30. I am a 32 year old mother. I graduated from a Kentucky high school in 1996, one of a class of fifty. I joined the U.S. army where I served as a petroleum specialist and truck driver. I was stationed in Germany for two years. Six months of this in Bosnia-Herzegovinia where I performed my duties at petroleum supply and gate security. Upon my return to Germany, I married a fellow soldier and had a child. I was honorably discharged from the military in 1999 and spent the next three years as a mother and military spouse. I held a couple of jobs during this time focused on customer service and business management. My marriage, as with many military marriages, did not prove strong enough to survive active duty. Early 2002 I divorced and moved back home. I held several jobs during this period, mostly industrial, temporary, or sales/customer service work. As a single mother it was a very difficult time. However, with some help, a lot of hard work, and a little faith, we persevered. I settled in Dry Ridge, a small town much like, and close to, the one I grew up in. It was here that I had my daughter. In 2005 I started to attend college, where I pursued a degree in nursing. While I had the drive and desire I was unable to complete my degree. At the height of the financial crisis, I found myself carless, jobless, and homeless; unfortnately having to choose between my degree and feeding my family.
