David BeldenI'm an entrepreneur working in Clean Tech. My latest project has been starting a site dedicated to educating home owners about residential solar energy. The site is http://www.residentialsolar101.org and while I do blog on that site, I thought I'd also write some content for AC as well. I could not find a good resource for home owners to read about the ins and outs of home solar power, so that was my inspiration. I want to make Residential Solar 101 the go-to site for home owners who are considering solar power.
Kriss BergethonMy name is Kriss Bergethon and I am a writer and solar power system designer.
Tim BarberI have been happily married for the last 16 plus years in a second marriage and have lived in southeast, southern and western states. Currently we are exploring the west side of the States. Washington, Oregon, and Canada. I have owned a few businesses and houses that I always seem to remodel or improve. I love using tools especially when I had my Kabota 4Wdrive Landscape tractor with the backhoe attachment. I have lived off the grid on 20 acres and installed my own solar power with propane backup generation. I love reading books online and offline. The Northwest is known for our microbreweries and I love to sample beer from all around the land with an emphasis on IPA's with the rich taste of hops. My current project is Semi-Retirement. I like staying at home watching moves, doing multiple projects, eating great healthy food and drinking great beer and hanging out with family and friends.
Jim GresselJim worked for a major HVAC Manufacturer for over 20 years, starting out in the warehouse, then was promoted to warehouse manager, then as corporate purchasing manager and finally as a district operations manager. He earned both of his post graduate degrees while working at the HVAC company. During the last 5 years with this company, he started a private weather forecasting company called Seasons Company. He then gave himself some experience in the retail industry as a retail chain store manager and is now working at growing a solar module manufacturing company he started less than a year ago. He has a strong knowledge base in (Masters) Electro-Mechanical Engineering, (Masters) Climatology and is continuing his private research on Earth's climate. He began writing articles as a way to help increase traffic to his website, however, he started to realize that he was enjoying the task of writing informative articles in areas he has interests. He is the Owner of SolarVolt Power. They are a solar module manufacturer and also sell retail & wholesale their modules and other high quality solar power system products. They manufacture the only solar module that carries a lifetime warranty.
Tom Mc ClureI was born in Southern California, growing-up in the San Fernando Valley. I am a surfer and skier, blessed with a great education at UCLA funded via scholarships and a grant and lots of part-time work. I met my wife online on Yahoo! Personals in 1999 and we married in 2002. My career at UCLA included biology, pre-med, computer science, and many more breadth requirement and elective classes to broaden my horizons. I fell in love with music, writing, history, reading, and meteorology, but am a student of all sciences. I became an Information Technology expert starting in 1980 and this continues today, even in retirement. I learned from the very basics all of the programming and web mastering techniques now in use today. I ran my own successful consulting group for many years. I am now living on a ranch, totally off-grid using solar power as our electrical source. We have a small carbon footprint, use water sparingly (no more than 2,500 gallons a month), and raise organic poultry and poultry products. I operate my backhoe to help-out neighbors. I run a tour driving job, narrating the Grand Canyon in all its splendor to tourists from all around the world. I am a Christian by faith and calling, and am Christian in the way the Bible intended: carefully following scripture. I judge no one according to their faiths, but rather seek logic, listening, and wisdom for all. I follow the "Seven Habits of Highly Effective People," authored by Stephen Covey, and can teach this quite well to anyone willing to learn.
David WellsOriginally from Bogotá Colombia, I moved to the United States shortly before my thirteenth birthday. I moved to a suburb of Philadelphia, and later to McAlester Oklahoma, and Miami Florida before settling down in the countryside 25 miles north of Philadelphia. I traveled often as a child. My father was a reporter for the Associated Press and I would often accompany him on his travels to places like Jamaica, Aruba, The Dominican Republic, Panama, Venezuela, and many places within Colombia. During college, I caught the travel bug and have since traveled to Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras, Mexico, and returned to Colombia to visit family and go fishing for payara and peacock bass in the Orinoco river and its tributaries. During my University studies I became very interested in politics and economics, and much of my reading focuses on leftist revolutions in Latin America including the Cuban revolution of 1959, and the Bolivarian revolution currently taking place in Venezuela, Bolivia, and to a lesser extent, Brazil, Nicaragua, El Salvador, and Ecuador. I consider myself a democratic socialist, and my political views seem to focus on the responsible extraction and use of natural resources in order to benefit local populations. I am an avid proponent of renewable energy, such as solar power, wind power, hydroelectric power, and geothermal energy. I ideologically support alternatives to capitalist development models, as long as they are respectful of human rights. I believe that it is the responsibility of government to secure basic human rights such as shelter, safe food, healthcare, education, and basic freedoms of self expression and religion for its subjects
Rajeshwari GanesanI am an expert on parenting and personal finance issues. My other interests include green technologies such as solar power and the green movement in general.
Lynne WilsonMy biography.....hmmm!!! Firstly, I am an artist, I illustrated childrens books, 7 so far. Then I hand-make sandals, no too many, and I design and install solar power, both grid connect and standalone systems. Life is quite busy and guaranteed variety.
Anne RiveraAnne Rivera has been crafting online content for five years--from solar power and sleep, to hormones and home decor, to web design and whale watching, to depression and dog potty training, to infidelity and investment planning. She writes and rewrites and tailors web content

LJ VickAs a born and raised Vancouverite, the flavour and culture of the west coast and mountains runs deep within me. I now live in the beautiful Okanagan area of British Columbia, on a large acreage in a custom log home my husband and I built. We live off-grid, our home powered by solar and are actively engaged in a sustainable lifestyle. Outdoor sports and activities have always played a large role in my life. I hold professional certificates in the equestrian world as a coach/trainer and my students have competed and won at the provincial and national level. I have been active in the horse world for the better part of 30 years. A lifelong passion for skiing led me to earn my instructor's certification with the Canadian Ski Instructor's Alliance. Backcountry pursuits including ski touring, climbing, mountaineering, snowmobiling and hiking round out my mountain interests. On the water, sea kayaking is a favourite, with several multi-day expedition trips to the wild west coast completed. I hold a Canadian Power and Sail Squadron boating certificate and enjoy power boating during the summer with our 21' bowrider. An active gardener, organic and permaculture principles are important to me. As parents with a now empty nest, we have recently become Wwoofer hosts (World Wide Organization of Organic Farmers) to meet and enjoy the mutually beneficial assistance of Wwoofers who visit from around the world. I am not particularly good, nor interested in fashion and makeup - unless it's the latest and greatest technical gear or lip balm that defies salt water. That pretty much sums me up, thanks for reading!
Don BolenThe writer is a research scientist that has designed military laser weapon systems, lunar ranging experiments, laser fusion and laser micromachining equipment. He holds many US Patents including three Patents for the Excimer laser presently used for LASIK, LASEK and PRK eye surgery. He has also designed and built electric cars, wind generators and solar heating/solar electric power generation systems.

Wretha SmithMe, my husband and our little dog are living on a mountain side in the high desert of far west Texas, we are living 100% off grid, we collect rain water, we generate out own power, we built our own cabin/house. We did all of this on a shoestring budget, we survive quite nice
SolargiesI am a part-time writer, passionate Solar Energy Consultant, and a full-time Marketing Manager for Sustainability Resource Planning, a solution to help manage, track, report refrigerant gases. I work for Verisae, Inc.
Leon ElamIn High School my main interest was in Dramatic Arts. I read a lot, and on week ends fished and hunted. Firearms are something I grew up with, and also qualified with in the Navy. I won ribbons with the .45 semi automatic pistol and the M-1A rifle. I once guarded exclusion zones on board ships where nuclear weapons might or might not have been stored. I received Ships Self Defense Force training from the Marine Corps. I qualified with the .12 gauge pump shotgun in the Fast Reaction Force. I served during the Vietnam Era and then joined up again later on to finish my twenty years and retire. I served on a variety of ships, LHA, LPH, AF, AR, DDG, FFG. I was first a Navy Shipfitter doing pipe and metal work, Oxy acetylene brazing and cutting, arc welding, and then repair ship work in the sheet metal shop with Tungsten Inert Gas welding, a very industrial environment, with sheet metal power shears, power breaks and sheet metal formers, and a variety of air tools, drill presses, and so on. When I joined for my second tour later on I was tested and slotted into the Data Systems Technician rate. Upon retirement I continued with personal computer repair and worked in various jobs as a temp installing computers, then in call centers supporting them. I worked at the Gateway Computers call center until it was closed, then at Cox Communications, then the Navy Marine Corps Internet support call center. I found that while I can do the technical work and have a craftsman's tendency, just intuitively, for the physical side, my real nature is more a "people person" (I learned that when a personnel interviewer tipped me off to it!), I like helping people. I learned that I am "analytical" from a co-worker, (thanks Leonard, wherever you are), from a monster.com test or some such I learned that I am a "visionary." In Data Systems Technical School my attention to detail was honed to a nice obsessive edge, yet I am not happy until I have an intuitive grasp through getting t

JD StrattonBorn in New England, I learned to repair cars and trucks before I had a license. My uncle was a trained machinist who built his own sailboat and took great pleasure in retro-fitting diesel engines into pickup trucks and vans. Through my childhood, I was by his side for many of these projects, learning to weld before I was 12 and was infected with a 'can-do' attitude for all things mechanical and electronic. After high school, I attended college in two psychology programs, but realized therapy was not my forte. Being heavily into computers, I used my aptitude to make a living as an MCSE, eventually owning my consulting firm focused on fleet management. Now in my 40's, I am interested in homesteading and alternative power. Being fully self-sufficient is my long term goal.

Broc ShelbyBorn to R. and S. Shelby. Father was a military man, U.S.N. for 20 years, from Mass. My mother was a loan officer from Southern California. Parents divorced at the age of 6, I was raised by my alcoholic mother along with two sisters. We moved quite frequently, about every year. Settled into southern California when I was 14 been here since. At an early age I showed a high comprehension for mechanical interaction but was never focused enough for college. So I was recruited by the Dept. of Defense shortly anfter high school to work at a Naval prototype weapons test facility. After about six years I was fed up with the Gov. wastefulness and backwards buissness ideals. Seeing the need and oppertunity in renewable energy, I made a move to power production. I currently work for the worlds largest solar energy producer in quality assurence. I have been married since the age of 19 and have two beautiful children. My marrage is wonderful and my relationship with both my parents and my children are perfect, but it wasen't always so. I'm here to share what I've learned about making relationships work even after huge set backs and deal breaking bombs that I have faced. Also to lend some of my technical knowlege of green power.
