I was born in a large city and went to a religious school for 9 years, and then graduated from a public school. My parents retired and moved away from our home to another home on a lake. I love the water, there is something about it that I do not understand, I just know that I need to be by water. I love listening to the waves, and enjoying the gorgeous sunsets. When I got married, I moved back to the urban area that I grew up in.But my husband and I would visit my parents as often as we could. I worked at a hospital for 31 years as a Medical Auditor. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. My husband and I retired early. The house on the lake that was the home of my parents now belongs to my husband and I. It is bitterswweet, because we enjoy being at that home so much, but my parents have passed away. It is as though something is missing. I am enjoying my retirement. There are so many things to do, there is not enough time in the day.

I've lived on the gulf coast in Panama City, FL since June of 2000. My family moved here after my senior year in high school to attend to a family illness. In the beginning, it was difficult to leave my friends in Newnan, GA, but after a few months I adapted and now I could never imagine living anywhere else. The coast is so beautiful. The water-color sunsets, crystal blue water, and sugar white sands are just breath-taking. I love to spend the day just basking in the awe of it. Panama City is the perfect mesh of urban amenities and small town charm. My husband is a master welder and sheet metal mechanic. We have a modest condo which we share with our two cats and a parakeet. We don't have any children together, but he has an adult daughter, who he adores, from a previous marriage. She and her husband live in Lakeland, FL. In my spare time I enjoy reading, writing, gardening, saltwater fishing, golfing, nature walks, cooking, crafting, pottery, art, and spending time with my cats, Fluffy and Bubby and my bird, Skittles. I try to be a thoughtful, compassionate person with a positive attitude. My philosophy is to use things and love people, not use people and love things. Life is too short for greed, pettiness, and anger.

I was born during wartime1975 in a concentration camp in Cambodia. When Pol Pot and his Khmer rouge regime was at the height of their power. Food was scarce and death from famine was an everyday occurrence. Children born during this time were given less then a 10 % chance of survival. In 1979 the Khmer Rouge were finally overthrown, this is when my family along with thousand of other cambodian families made the pilgrimage toThailand to seek refuge. We were a people without a country. Stuck in limbo, living in make shift huts along the borders of Thailand and Cambodia. The United Nations, made a plea to the world to open up its borders and allow Cambodian refugees to enter. In 1981 my family finally migrated to the US. Where we landed on the shores of Oahu Hawaii. It was so unreal like a dream come true, going from suffering almost hellish conditions to paradise. From barb wires fences, machine guns and moon less nights to coconuts, palm tress and sunsets. I spent my elementary years in Hawaii, and my teenage years in Long Beach Ca. So I am Cambodian born Hawaiian nurtured, Long Beach bred, American made, an original as most khmers are.
  • Taeshia Lynn
Well hello there! Thanks for coming across my page! If you're here, i'm guessing you have come across some of my writing, or you're curious as to who i am; don't worry, I will take care of that. Here's what you need to know: 1. My name is Taeshia. I know I know, it looks easy, but when it comes to being pronounced correctly, it can be a huge mess! Just picture Fantasia without the "Fan" & you pretty much got my name down! 2. I'm Young! I'm a 2011 graduate from Medina Valley Highschool, in Texas, And i'm also a future college Freshman! If you're wondering how old I am, guess! I like being somewhat mysterious, and age isn't everything; you're age has nothing to do with how experienced or how good you are at something! ;) 3. Music is my LIFE, and I love writing. Everyone who personally knows me, knows that music has been in my blood since I was born; There's not a day I can go without it. As for writing, Music and writing pretty much go hand in hand for me, I need them both to be who I am! 4. My hobbies & Extra stuff about me... well I grew up under the hot sun in Nevada, so I love camping, staring at the stars, watching sunsets, and well anything inspiring pretty much. Basketball is my FAVORITE sports, but i'm a total jock when it comes to sports, and I can tell you anything about ANY sport. I'm one of those people who can enjoy having a conversation about anything, you name it, politics, religion, sports, music, LITERALLY everything; What can I say? I enjoy switching it up! :) I hope this Bio gives you some interesting details about me, but if I still somehow left you hanging, I hope more of me shows throughout my writing, so you can get to know me better! :)

I am an avid reader and writer. I live in St. Petersburg, FL close to the South beaches where I enjoy walking, sand, and surf, the beautiful sunrises and sunsets, and the casual, fun atmosphere. It's a great place to live with many activities going on all the time. I write/edit for a small beaches magazine. I interview and write about many interesting people who have told me their life stories and ambitions. It is a broadening experience. I am in constant search of knowledge and that is why I've had so many gigs; from human resources to office manager for a crematory. Life is about experiences and sharing with others. That is what I want to do on Yahoo. In this fast moving world, headlines that grab attention and give us info immediately is important. It's how I keep up with what's happening. I look forward to writing and getting to know people as I go along. My human resources experiences have given me a great insight into what makes employees tick and the human dynamics of the workplace.
