Gail HunterGail rushed in where angels feared to tread. The result? A smorgasbord of adventure and learning whether on land, sea or in the air. A strong curiosity has been her compass. A competitive athlete, she served in many executive capacities for sailing and golf associations. Gail graduated from Wellesley College with a BA degree in Art History and Modern Architecture. A designer and builder of solar houses, she served as secretary of the Connecticut Renewable Energy Association in the 1970s. Married to a lawyer for forty years, then widowed, she is mother to three, grandmother to 13, and great grandmother to one. In the 1990s, she moved to Florida and became a group travel agent and escort. The Venice Gondolier and the Brandon News carried Gail's travel articles. She also wrote newsletters for GM Travel (The Pied Piper) in Venice, FL and AAA (Active Vacations) in Sarasota. In 1997, she married a fellow boater, a widower. Together, they chronicled several coastal cruises on the Internet; one for the Suncoast Media Group; others were their own photo-logs of Intracoastal cruises on their trawler and land-based trips in their motor home. Now curtailed by the recurring effects of Post-Polio syndrome, Gail is happy to be home again in Burlington, Vermont, where she relishes writing about things she can no longer do. She is also busy, and thoroughly enjoying, digitalizing 50 years of 35mm slides.

Jeremy PhelpsI was born in Oklahoma in the 1970s. A born and bred Sooner, I have attended OU sporting events since I was a child. You live and breath football in Oklahoma and I was no exception. Growing up I developed a love for movies and music during the 1980s. I played baseball and basketball in high school and developed a love for the Cubs as well as Sherlock Holmes stories. Following graduation from high school, I completed a BS in Zoology at the University of Oklahoma with a minor in British Literature. I finished medical school at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in 2004. In my spare time in medical school I took up restoring vintage video games and cabinets. I married soon after medical school and first experienced one of my current hobbies, scuba diving, on my honeymoon. We moved to New Mexico to complete my neurosurgery training during which time I earned an MBA degree and three kids joined the family. After training, we moved back to Oklahoma to start my practice. In my time here, I have put my MBA to use by starting a real estate investment firm. My life has been full of numerous experiences and I am always looking to learn or try something new!

Paula MooreI have been a journalist for more than 30 years — starting as a copy editor at Southwest Airlines inflight magazine in Texas in the 1970s, and most recently as real estate reporter for the Denver Business Journal for many years. Suki SmithI was born and grew up in south London, studied for a Certificate in Education in Birmingham in the 1970s and moved to the City of Nottingham where we lived for over 20 years before retiring to Andalucía in southern Spain. We live about 20 miles inland from the beaches of the Costa del Sol, in the mountains midway between Málaga and the beautiful city of Granada. We live in a small hamlet in a 200 year old house where we have olives, citrus fruit and peach orchard of more than 80 trees! I enjoy sitting on the terrace enjoying the views over the peaceful countryside, reading, painting and cooking for friends. I
Paul ButtersI have enjoyed writing since my Primary School days in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. Academically I have a B. Ed. Honours Degree in English Literature. In the 1970s I taught English to GCSE level in South Yorkshire. From 1982 to 2006 I was a Careers Adviser in Humberside. Early retirement has left me free to write even more.
Gerard LancerI write content solely for my own personal amusement. I was raised by hippie parents in the cultural trench of the 1970s. Raised in nightclubs and indian smokeshops near Seattle, WA. I was exposed to a wide variety of leftist community organizers, assorted potheads, existentialists and counter-culture consumers. A fine time it was indeed. The Army brought me back to reality and scrubbed the untold layers of filth clean. I was remade a team player and taught to think and act on my own accord. Regardless of what the anecdotal, conventional wisdom is about the military in general...trust me, it is wrong.
Jody SereyI have lived in the southwest for more than 32 years, and have been a professional writer for one venue or the other since the 1970s. A resident of the Phoenix area, I have adapted to the low desert despite being raised in Indiana.
Dan OlsonI've been in construction all my life. I started inventing things in the 1970s. I' ve been trying to get my toy called mykneerider off the ground ever since
Ralf CastlekniferI like to create things and still I often ponder the question of why is there something rather than nothing. I make music, films, drawings, writings, or whatever artistic thing I feel like doing at the moment. Mostly I like to just relax. I love listening to 1970s symphonic rock and I'm a walking classic rock encyclopedia. I'm a big fan of cartoons like 'The Real Ghostbusters' and 'He-Man and the Masters of the Universe'.

Abandoned by his mother when he was twelve, Keaton has long since known what it takes to survive in an often-inhospitable world. His past and present life are a constant source for his writings. Mark FlemingBeen into creative writing since the late 1970s. First began scribbling during the UK's 'punk rock era', when I joined a band and started writing lyrics. This led to poetry, then short stories. Have had numerous stories published in anthologies and magazines. My first novel was published in 2009, 'BrainBomb', followed by a story collection in 2010 'Bedlam'. Both are examples of contemporary British fiction, although the novel - a bipolar diary that melds fact and fantasy - is heavily autobiographical. I also write non-fiction on any of the subjects listed.

Bill GatesBill Gates was born in Seattle, Washington to William Henry Gates, Jr., a corporate lawyer, and Mary Maxwell, board member of First Interstate Bank, Pacific Northwest Bell and the national board of United Way. Gates went to Lakeside School, Seattle's most exclusive prep school, and later on went to study at Harvard University, but dropped out without graduating. While he was a student at Harvard, he co-authored with Paul Allen the original Altair BASIC interpreter for the Altair 8800 (the first commercially successful personal computer) in the mid 1970s. It was inspired by BASIC, an easy-to-learn programming language developed at Dartmouth College for teaching purposes. Gates married Melinda French on January 1, 1994. They have three children, Jennifer Katharine Gates (1996), Rory John Gates (1999) and Phoebe Adele Gates (2002). They live in a very large earth sheltered home in the side of a hill overlooking Lake Washington. It is a very modern 21st century house in the "Pacific lodge" style, with advanced electrical and electronic systems everywhere. In one respect though it is more like an 18th or 19th century mansion: It has a large private library with a domed reading room. Also in 1994, he acquired the Codex Leicester, a collection of writings by Leonardo da Vinci; as of 2003 it was on display at the Seattle Art Museum.
Rick DaveyMr. Davey has over 35+ years of experience in the technology consulting, information & software development arenas. Starting in the mid-1970s, Mr. Davey has had an entrepreneurial view not only for his own companies but for others. Mr. Davey started his first company that specialized in custom software applications for the then emerging small, distributed computer marketplace as business transitioned away from mainframes. His company teamed up closely with IBM for over 10 years, creating ERP and CRM software for a number of key business industries: manufacturers, distributors, and retailers. Mr. Davey was CTO and instrumental in development of a full text and database retrieval system for the legal litigation marketplace based on small systems, a first for the legal profession. Mr. Davey then joined Citicorp POS; a group that helped found the concepts of consumer database marketing, frequent shopper cards and data mining. Mr. Davey was responsible for the development of a number of key products: debit & credit card processing for retailers, "frequent shopper" card functionality in the POS area, and storing and retrieving large scale consumer purchase information (POS grocery scans) into very large databases. Since 1998, when Mr. Davey founded Ridge Group LLC, a technology & software consulting organization, he has been helping companies create solutions that increase their marketing, sales and support information capabilities. Through Mr. Davey's insight for consumer marketing technology and consulting, Ridge supplies expertise and solutions to Fortune 1000 and mid-size businesses in consumer centric marketing areas such as CRM, Sales and Marketing management, Customer support, eCommerce and Business Intelligence. Today Mr. Davey continues to lead Ridge Group and plays a technical role in many of Ridge's projects as well as speaking to business audiences about marketing technology solutions for business.
