I ve been working in IT since 1979. I ve been around since before there were PCs. I am currently working for a financial services company as a Sr. Systems Engineer. I my current responsibilities are Windows Servers, Exchange 2010, MS SQL, SharePoint, Project Server 2010. I will begin training for SharePoint 2010 Visual Studio development in the near future. I plan to transition out of a strictly Admin role into more of a developer role. I ve been married for what will be 30 years this summer and am a father of 2 teenage sons aged 15 and 18. Our 18 year old will be starting college at Millikin University in the fall and major in Music Ed.

I have been an IT journalist for more than a decade, writing for a wide range of computing magazines and web sites. I have written about everything from getting started with Windows, to get the most of OS X and taking advantage of the power and mobility of iOS and Android. I am keen to help people to learn to do more with their computers and I'm always looking for new software and online services to try out ready to share with others.

What can I say about myself that hasn't been stated via my number of years on the internet. I live and breathe technology. I'm heavily vested in open-source and Linux but I use Windows as well. I take an interest in everything related to computers, science, and technology. If given the chance, I could easily talk your ear off with jargon but don't worry, I don't do that often.

Henri Alexander was born in Honolulu, HI, lived a portion of his life in Las Vegas, and now makes his home in Texas. Having traveled the world as a missionary and a US Marine, he has a unique perspective on life, technology and the world. His move to Texas occurred after honorably serving in the Marine Corps during Operation Iraqi Freedom. He still serves in the Marine Corps Reserves as a Combat Marksmanship Trainer. After his return from Iraq in 2003, Henri completed his Associate's Degree in Computer Networking, and has since continued to gain experience and certifications that include CompTIA A+, Dell Certified Systems Expert, HP Technician training, Cisco routers/switches and Windows Server. He worked for Dell for a number of years but found his true joy in computers by working as a consultant. He now operates an IT solutions company in Texas as well as providing freelance writing and consultation services over the internet. I don't remember who taught me computers. Whoever it was, tons of thanks for it. Rob Gilbert is a college student with a passion for everything technology. His passion for technology is largely attributed to his older brother for teaching me tips and tricks of the Windows Operating System in the late 1990s. Jeff has a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Computer Science. Since then, he's been working in the IT field trying to pay back his student loans.
