Here I'm singing Psalm 1 while playing it on my accordion. I modified the wording from the 1650 A.D. Scots Psalter, modernizing some, clarifying some, making it more literal. I expect to post my wording (with a few comments) as text on Associated Content. Use freely; let not my copyright hinder you; consider this public domain, part of a non-copyright psalter. I hope to put all 150 up in time. (I've sung all 150, not in this version, in a total of less than 8 hours). May these psalms help you know Jesus Christ and praise triune Jehovah. May better musicians and writers create better versions. (My ideal might use Suzanne Haik-Vantoura's tunes, which she claims are the originals, with English lyrics by James B. Jordan.) Songs 3000 years old that claim the attention of Christians, perhaps Muslims (Muslims consider David a prophet), Jews, historians (monastic psalmody, Reformation psalmody--not just church history)...

I assembled this video montage using family pictures. I chose the song because my dad has a tendency to break into "Doo Wacka Doo" spontanously. It expresses him perfectly. The lyrics go, "Billy McCoy was a boy who could play, you bet." My dad's name just happens to be Bill. Note the toy camera I'm holding in one shot (yes, that's me.)
