The 11th Annual Baltimore Kinetic Sculpture Race takes place around Baltimore's harbor in Baltimore, MD, Saturday, May 2, 200. The race, which is organized by the American Visionary Art Museum, is a race of "wacky, imaginative, totally human powered works of art designed to travel on land, through mud, and over deep harbor waters.

It appears as if the artist never asked permission to mimic the couple from the picture in three dimensions. A Life spokesperson said: "Since Time Inc. holds the copyright to that photo and the artist did not obtain our permission to create the sculpture, unfortunately the sculpture is an infringement of our copyright".
