Success with Associated Content

How it Has Helped Change My Life Positively

Jesse Mathewson
One at a time, I tried every site I could get my hands on, and one at a time I realized that none of them had the professional resources or format to enable me as an author to show my skills. When I signed up with Associated Content the idea was to try it and see, but my hopes were not too high. In fact, I only had one or two articles that I felt good allowing them to use. A month after I started publishing, I realized that not only was I going to be able to use this on my writing resume I was also getting paid- sure other places may pay more, but here its almost guaranteed. My confidence re-established and forging ahead with new projects I began working on other articles I had long ago forgotten or put off. I realized that no matter what my dreams can be realized, and the best part is Associated Content has helped me with this.

Over the last month, I have published 10 new articles, and out of those, four were paid in advance, and no small thanks are due to Associated Content for enabling me to regain my confidence. I am now working on another goal that has been put off for far too long, starting my very own magazine. I know the road ahead is going to be rough however, I am also confident that my experiences in the past and now the moral boost that I received from publishing here will enable me to persevere and succeed. All I can say to new and budding authors, keep trying, and listen when someone gives you advice. In this field especially, people rarely want to tear you down, your fellow authors have all been exactly where you are at, and or where you are now. Isaac Asimov once said, "I am not an excellent nor even a good author, I am merely prolific." I tend to disagree with the first part and think he was an excellent author, however much can be said for writing until your fingers fall off. Your name is your largest asset, spread your writing around, show others what and who you are.

Marketing yourself is the fastest way to finding your niche in the writing industry; do not be afraid of what others may think. In fact embrace their criticism (from non-authors) after all we do live in a popular society, and one sometimes must change just a bit to fit in better. Associated Content allows you to feel out what you are best at, whether it be help style columns, news articles, or simply opinion pieces with that little twist that shows the world who you are. Best part is you are paid for all of them. So, how has Associated Content helped me? It allowed me to see the person I had been hiding and enabled me to continue in the path I love, writing. Success is meeting the goals you have placed for yourself, so make sure your goals are attainable as well. Remember who you are not defined by how much money you make; whom you are can only be defined by you. So take advantage of Associated Content and the easy to use format. Take advantage of the opportunity just as I did, and remember when you are a prize-winning author; remember where you were at the beginning.

AC has done wonders for me, as well. I'm constantly thinking about writing now, always wondering, "Would this make a good article?" And, best of all, I'm doing more writing now than ever before, and loving every second of it.
