Simply stated that means having a dozen ways that money flows into your life almost automatically. That's where I live today, as I approach my 41st anniversary out of crime and prison.
These revenue streams include the contacts with the following national corporations that use the network marketing distribution channel:
1. I market the world's number one perfumes and the most improved fragrances for men, plus a line of other outstanding personal care products.
2. My growing team and I market one of the most outstanding supplements that promotes wellness. This company's line of supplements, features the natural elements of the muscadine grape.
3. My team and I market another line of supplements, based in nature, backed by science.
4. My team and I enroll home buyers in one of the world's largest accelerated mortgages program.
5. My team and I market a fuel additive that reduces your pump payments.
6. My team and I connect home based business owners with the nation's business tax system.
My other six revenues include the following educational and training products that I develop and market:
7. WebBuilder's PLUS, a product that provides customers with a features-rich, user-friendly Strategic Internet Marketing System. This system includes a website, webmaster training, seo training and email marketing training.
8. A Successful Life After Prison, a curriculum I've composed designed to help some of the more than 600,000 men and women released from prison annually learn how to stay out forever.
9. Laws of S.U.C.C.ES.S. a series of courses that teaches individuals how to align with the principles that govern successful living.
10. Bible Study for Everyday Life, a series of courses that teaches serious Christians how to use the Bible as a lifestyle manual, in addition to being a book of religion.
11. HBBO--Your Ark of Safety, a series of courses that teaches individuals how to design, develop and deploy successful home based businesses.
12. E-commerce marketing, where I put various products on Ecommerce websites for sale.
So how does a high school dropout with a long crime and prison record learn how to have, manage and benefit from multiple revenue streams?
More than 40 years ago, I began learning about "life laws," though at the time I did not understand the process I lived. I did not fully understand, for example, that for every action, there is an opposite and virtually equal reaction. I did not know the law of focus. This law determines that your reality mirrors your focus. In other words, you will become what you think about.
Starting at about five years old, I began thinking about crime, and by the 15th anniversary of my birth, I was a full-fledged criminal, headed as unerringly for the various consequences of crime as a feather floats and an anvil plumments to the ground when dropped from a building.
My life direction, governed by "life's laws," was dictated by me walking in disharmony with the laws of S.U.C.C.E.S.S. I refer to this concept--S.U.C.C.E.S.S.--as an acronym that means: striving until clear, comprehensive empowerment secures stability. About a decade later, after spending 87 of the 120 months of the 1960s in prison, I had begun to learn how to walk in harmony with "life's laws."
I began that walk on Dec. 9, 1968, the day I was released from prison. Now, after 40 years of living according to these laws (as of Dec. 9, 2008), I have learned and lived all 21 laws of S.U.C.C.E.S.S.
I organized this process of change into a three level system of laws--the policy, planning and performance--principles of success.
One of the policy principles states: "Adopt effective and efficient methodology." This methodology refers to 23 principles of internal transformation because that's where success begins, inside the person who desires that specific outcome. Those principles are as follows:
N ICE--(1) New Thinking, (2) Innnovative Thinking, (3) Creative Thinking and (4) Ethusiastic Thinking
REAP--(5) Recognize value, (6) Embrace power, (7) Acquire skills and (8) Purchase Technology
RACE--(9) Engage Responsible relationships, (10) Undertake Accountable actions, (11) Make Comprehensive commitments and (12) Activate Enterprising economics.
Proper engagement of these principles transform you into a P.L.U.S.--a Person Learning Unlimited S.U.C.C.E.S.S.! (13-17) This acronym--S.U.C.C.E.S.S. stands for Striving Until Clear Comprehensive Empowerment Secures Stability.(18-23).
I learned these principles in reverse order. Between December 1968 and June 1970, I learned the seven performance principles of success. Those principles are as follows:
1. Get started
2. Adopt a powerful "why" or a specific guiding mantra for your life.
3. Become and remain teachable and coachable.
4. Learn to master process and systems thinking.
5. Learn to work S.M.A.R.T. (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant and Time-focused).
6. Learn to work hard.
7. Never quit
.
Consider the following highlights:
1. In June 1970, I became a reporter with The Wilmington Morning Star, my first stint with a daily newspaper, though I had been out of prison for just 18 months.
2. In 1972, I became manager of a new radio station in Wilmington--WWIL-FM, though I had absolutely no radio experience, and a year later I produced my first community affairs program for a local television station.
3. In 1974, I became a reporter with The Charlotte Observer, North Carolina's largest and, in my judgment, its best newspaper.
Meanwhile, I continued learning the laws of success. By 1979, I knew the following planning principles:
1. Establish specific, clearly defined goals.
2. Prepare to achieve those goals.
3. Achieve and maintain wellness.
4. Develop drive
5. Develop resourcefulness
6. Develop perseverance
7. Build your life of achievement on the foundation of powerful spiritual principles.
I launched my initial home based business in February 1979 and for the past 30 years I've learned and applied the policy principles of success.
Consider the following highlights:
1. In 1983, I landed my initial teaching contract at the Continuing Education Department in a Durham-based nationallly recognized university.
2. In 1987, I became an adjunct professor of communications, teaching and designing courses at Campbell University, where I taught until 1998.
3. In 1989, I began teaching at North Carolina Central University in Durham, again in the communications program, a stint that ended in 1999.
From about 1979 until now, I've learned and applied the following policy principles of success:
1. Position yourself to benefit from divine favor.
2. Commit yourself to live in the power of faith.
3. Accept the right of divine law to hold you accountable for all decisions and behavior.
4. Adopt effective and efficient methodology.
5. Approach all ventures with unbridled enthusiasm.
6. Perform all planning and work with an emphasis on excellence.
7. Follow the guidance and direction of the Holy Spirit.
So for the past 40 years, I have learned that while success comes certainly, it's now easy. Nevertheless, anyone, and I mean anyone who aligns himself or herself with these powerful success principles will win.
See you at the top!
