Simple Secrets to Increase Your Level of Fitness

T.C. Hana
Many have tried videos, DVD's and exercise classes only to be left disappointed and frustrated with themselves. We have all tried to jump start ourselves on a path to fitness by joining a club that we don't go to, or signing up for that class where we feel the person next to us looks so good they shouldn't be there. So, we don't ever want to go back. There are many easy ways to mix-up your exercise routine and have success increasing your level of fitness.

One of the most effective ways to lose inches and weight that I tried at an early age was using the exercise bike. Several years ago as an experiment while doing the Cybergenics weight loss program, I had to work out three times a day. Working out three times a day sounds a little fanatical right? I did it for that summer to see if I could change my weight dramatically, while losing inches. I had heard that riding the exercise bike would get rid of buttocks, in addition to slim my hips and thighs. So, I took to that bike as if it were my best friend. Some days I did ride it three times a day, but don't get carried away. Riding an exercise bike three times a day is not for everyone. If you ride it too much, you can really wear out your joints and make your knees ache horribly. Riding a bike two or three times a week will add a great boost to your fitness plan, while bringing a lot of success in losing inches in trouble areas too. The great thing about this biking race I put myself on is I discovered it took care of everything. It was a great way to get in a lot of cardio and slims the thighs, hips and also works the abs. And of course last but not least, it will help you get rid of that "big booty"! With this fanatical bike riding as part of this plan, I lost a whopping forty pounds in three months. Keep in mind, not everyone will obtain these same results.

The best overall fitness success story I have, is the best that will work for everyone. You want to keep it simple by mixing up your exercise routine. It's easy to get bored when you do the same thing all the time. When I played softball in college we were all able to increase our level of fitness in different ways. This plan I think was perfect. We swam twice a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays for an hour and the other three days we did our weight training and ran four miles at the track. All of these forms of exercise target most the body, while the weight training is good to isolate those muscles and muscle groups. Running on a track is the best thing you can possible do if you really enjoy jogging. The track is easy on the joints and shins, and will eliminate that hard pounding that really cause you a lot of pain and discomfort. If you have a school nearby, just call and see what policies they have about using their track and when it's open.
