Go Ahead, Make My Day

GMJ
She remembers the tragedy as though it happened yesterday. Her little sister and she were invited to a party. It seemed like a fun thing to do, but it turned out to be a nightmare.

She still sees the leering faces belonging to the gang of thugs who pinned them down, raped and beat them. The gang's taunts and cackling laughter still ring in her head. The horror was more than her baby sister could bear. Her sister became autistic.

What's worse is the gang of creeps got away with it! The years of taking showers failed to cleanse her memory. The only way to remove the stain is to kill them all!

With cold eyes like a great white shark, Jennifer Spencer (Sandra Locke) systematically hunts down and kills each creep one by one. Her MO? She shoots them in the privates, then finishes them off.

Meanwhile, Inspector Harry Callahan (Clint Eastwood) has troubles of his own. The mob wants him dead. However, they are no match for Dirty Harry. He's the star of the movie. So what if he doesn't wear a bullet-proof vest? He'll be back to make another sequel--those gangsters are wasting their time!

Harry decides to investigate the serial killings. After all, that's what cops do. He has no leads and no clues. Fortunately, he has the script to help him out. He's out jogging in the park one day and just happens to run into Jennifer. Ta da!

Anyway, he starts dating the serial killer. Uh huh. Since we already know who the killer is, the only mystery this film has to offer is the question of how long it will take Harry to figure out that the girl he's picking posies for is the killer. Hopefully, the script will help him out here like it did before.

Clint Eastwood plays a vintage Dirty Harry, delivering vintage lines like "Make my day," with his quiet, whispery voice that the soundman no doubt had to mike up to the max. During the climax, the silhouette lighting on him standing tall in the street, holding his .44 magnum, was pretty cool! His squinting eyes, cool=hand-Luke style and his invincibility during violent scenes are what I came to see.

Sondra Locke was so convincing as the serial killer, she gave me chills. Whenever there was a front camera shot of her pointing her gun, I found myself protecting my manhood.

Other notable performances came from Paul Drake and Audrie J. Neenan who played the two creepiest gang members.

This flick was directed and produced by Eastwood himself and is rated R.
