Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice Cinnamon Sugar Jar

Loki Morgan
Little girls are so sweet. Here is a craft that is easy to do and looks as good as it tastes! This Sugar and Spice Cinnamon Sugar Jar can be used as a baby shower favor, all purpose gift, or family craft. The cinnamon spice jar can be made for under $5 and you probably have most of the supplies already. The delicious cinnamon sugar can be used on buttered toast, on top of rolls, or in a variety of recipes.

What you will need

Spice Jar - I was able to get mine for 50 cents at Ikea.

Ribbon - I was able to get a roll of adorable ribbon for one dollar at Michaels.

Scissors - You probably already have these.

Tacky Glue - If you do not have this you can get it at any craft supply store for about a dollar.

Sticker Project Paper - This is found with the printer paper at any office supply store for less than three dollars. One package of the sticker project paper contains several sheets which can be used for a variety of crafts.

2 tablespoons of cinnamon - You probably have this already in your spice rack.

1 cup granulated sugar - Check your kitchen, I bet you have this already too.

Directions

Step One: Prepare the jar - Measure and cut the ribbon to fit around the lid of the jar.

Step Two: Prepare the jar - Put a line of tacky glue down on the ribbon.

Step Three: Prepare the jar - Next place the side of the jar lid on the ribbon. You can then roll it to ensure the ribbon fits well around the lid.

Step Four: Prepare the jar - Once the ribbon is wrapped around the jar lid, place a small amount of tacky glue on the seam.

Step Five: Prepare the label - You can prepare the label by hand or design it on your computer and print it. I prefer to make my labels by hand to add a personal touch. On the label write:

Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice
Cinnamon Sugar

Step Six: Prepare the label - Cut the sticker out and adhere it to the spice jar.

Step Seven: Prepare the Cinnamon Sugar - Mix 2 tablespoons of cinnamon with 1 cup of granulated sugar in a small bowl.

Step Eight: Put the Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice Cinnamon Sugar Jar together - Pour the cinnamon sugar into the jar and replace the lid. If you have extra cinnamon sugar you can save it and have a special treat for yourself!

We always had a cinnamon-sugar jar growing up, but without the ribbon or label. It was usually an old jelly jar with holes punched in the top!
