Women's History Month is the time to ponder the historical significance of great women of the past and present. Think about ladies like Pocahontas, Susan B. Anthony and Greta Garbo. Don't forget about modern women like Michelle Obama, Sandra Bullock and Beyonce.
Yes, Women's History Month does not have to be all about the women of the past. Celebrating women can be done in the present, pertaining to women of our time, in contemporary situations and circumstances.
There are many places where you can find more information about women of historical significance, women who have dared to be bold and to fight for what they believe in. There are plenty of women from whom you can choose to celebrate and appreciate in March of 2010.
