Sullivans Cafe & Steakhouse Restaurant Review

I decided to take in a dinner while I was in Cedar City, Utah working on another project. I decided on Sullivans Cafe located at 301 South Main Street in Cedar City, Utah 84720. The telephone number is (435) 586-6761 It is a place that you should check out that is along the main strip going through Cedar City, Utah. I highly recommend this restaurant. The restaurant has been in business for over sixty years and the owner is Shane Esplin. They are known for home made food.

The service was perfect. The staff was very attentive and kind. The tables had a fancy setting. The walls were adorned with the heads of big game such as Elk, Deer, and Moose. The walls also had two full bodied stuffed mountain lions on the wall.

They started me out with a dinner roll and a salad. The salad wasn't made with cheap tomatoes. The vegetables contained within the salad were fresh and good quality. The salad dressing was perfect as well. Any person who loves a wonderful salad with good quality vegetables will not be disappointed.

The 8oz sirlion was cooked well done by my request. Now, many restaurants will make a well done steak that is either dry or burnt, but not in the case of Sullivans Steakhouse. My steak did not have one hint of pink in it. It was tender, juicy, and flavorful. The mashed potatoes were REAL potatoes and not potato "flakes". The brown gravy tasted great and it wasn't too salty.

We were entertained by singer/songwriter Karl Withakay. This restaurant provided live music entertainment for the dinner guests. Karl Withakay played a wide variety of songs that were the perfect background music for the steakhouse restaurant. The dinner guests were able to have conversations while listening to Karl Withakay playing music at a low tone. Karl Withakay played mostly cover songs by Artists ranging from Jason Mraz to Roger Whitaker. You can learn about Karl Withakay by visiting his website at www.karlwithakay.net You can catch Karl Withakay at this establishment on Friday nights.

The prices were very reasonable. You didn't leave the place hungry at all. They had an impressive menu with a large variety of options to choose from. They catered to every individual's needs. There was a wide variety of desserts available on the menu. I didn't order dessert because I was so full from hearty steak dinner I had just eaten. The 8oz steak cost me a total of $17.08 It was affordable and well worth it.
