To create this look I used eye shadows in a dusty shimmer pink, a matte medium pink, and a yellow gold shade. Eyeliner in a turquoise color, and black liquid liner. Cover Girl's Lash Blast Lux mascara in 'Black Royal. For the face I used a blush in the color 'Glow' by E.L.F., a highlighter from Physicians Formula and Sephora's lip gloss in 'Rosy Glow.' What I always do, and recommend, before applying an ounce of makeup is apply a moisturizer with an SPF. Sun protection is important, but it's even more so during the summer months. I followed that up with some light cover-ups, nothing heavy though, followed by shadow primer.
To start off, I applied the dusty shimmer pink from the inner corner to the middle half of my lids, then followed that with the matte medium pink shade from the outer corner moving to the middle, and blended where the two colors met. I also went back to blend the outer edges out so that it wouldn't look so harsh. After the lids are done I use a pencil brush to apply a yellow gold shadow along my lower lash lines, smudging it just slightly. Rounding off the eye I apply a turquoise eyeliner to my waterline, this color is so bright it will brighten up your entire eye area. Then I applied a few coats of my Cover Girl's Lash Blast Lux mascara in 'Black Royal,' followed by black liquid eyeliner on my top lash line, just half way though; from the middle outwards.
I then used an angled blush brush to apply my E.L.F. blush in 'Glow' along my cheekbones, following it up with a highlighter from Physicians Formula along my brow bone, just above my cheekbones and long the bridge of my nose. Finishing off the look I applied one coat of Sephora's lip gloss in 'Rosy Glow' to my lips. And voila, done. This look took me about five minutes to put together, tops.
I hope this helps someone out there pull together a fun summer look. It's light and colorful. Great for a day lounging at the beach, by the pool, or just hanging out. The key is to not cake it on. Don't wear heavy makeup during summer, at least not during the day. Most importantly don't forget the sunblock!
