Summer Accessories - Top Five Trends

These Top Accessory Trends Are Sure to Make You Cool This Summer!

1. Nautical Trinkets
Every summer there seems to be a nautical theme (big surprise there) and this summer is no different, but if navy and white stripes aren't really your scene, and you just can't wear sailor pants, go for the current trend, nautical jewelry. From dainty necklaces with anchor pendants, to sailing inspired charm bracelets with little steering wheels on them, I've spotted this trend everywhere, even handbag and cell phone charms! Can't afford the diamond anchor necklace from Tiffany.com? Try the CZ knockoff from Eve's Addiction. Anchors Away! (www.evesaddiction.com)

2. Stylish Headbands
Spotted on every celebrity from Nicole Richie to Oprah (wow, what a span) a headband is the perfect summer accessory trend that most people can pull off. Even though headbands have been hot for the past few years, they really show no signs of slowing down. For long, thick hair, go with a wider band, for shorter styles pick a skinnier strap, or thin elastic band. Either way use colors and prints to express yourself and add a punch of color. For expensive silks and satins try the headbands by Rachel Weissman spotted at Laurie's Outlet.com. For something lower key, go for a handcrafted cotton headband from a one-of-a-kind designer at Etsy.com, they have tons! (www.lauriesolet.com)

3. Colorful Espadrilles
The perfect summer staple, and a major must-have shoe for 2007. Without question, every summer, brings out a new assortment of Espadrilles, and this summer promises some of the most fashionable lines I've seen. Whether you choose a high-heeled madras mule, a low-heeled eyelet slip-on, or a frayed, deconstructed shoe that laces up your legs, the choices are endless! For a luxe look, pick the fun and flirty Palm Beach toe ring espadrille from Michael Kors, or Marc Jacob's super sassy metallic sequined platform wedges. More of a casual gal? The criss-cross slides from Skechers are perfect for you. (www.zappos.com)

4. Astrological Accents
If you've ever had the burning desire to say, "Hey, what's your sign?" consider your planets in alignment. From trendy cotton T-shirts that tell the world you're a Capricorn, to simple charms on a bracelet that give a quiet nod to your Taurus nature, this unisex trend is hot, hot, hot for summer! Why not express your individuality and make a statement with your own star sign? The pendants from Heavenly Treasures.com are just right, or maybe the stars are pointing you towards the Versace blue zodiac printed silk square scarf? (www.forzieri.com)

5. Yellow Essentials
Hot for spring. Even hotter for summer. If you are hesitant (like I am) and really don't think you can sport the head-to-toe bright yellow dress without the words kooky or odd coming to mind, why not go for a splash of yellow instead? Tod's Nuovo Sportivo sneakers have just the right touch of yellow for a great summer accent, and the Prada yellow logo jacquard studded bag is just to die for if you prefer a more mellow yellow. I think that Eves Addiction should be shut down. I don't care that they say that their stuff is 'designer-inspired.' It is a blatant rip off and should not be allowed!! It goes beyond inspiration, which is a euphemism for COPY.

Go to tiffany's info page and see that those designs and those designer names that they use in their item descriptions...like Elsa Peretti are trademarked and copyrighted by Tiffany. If any "inspired" item can be easily confused with the real thing, it is lawsuit-worthy and only a matter of time before Tiffany shuts them down.

And no...I am not rich and do not have any of the real gold charms from Tiffany. I can only afford the silver, so that's what I buy. No Fakes!! It is completely disrespectful to the Tiffany corporation and designers. You are paying for the beauty of the design and the originality of thought and work that goes into the items, not just for the metal that it is made of.

Go to www.iacc.org next time you are inspired to buy a kno

EvesAddiction.com is not a manufacturer; we are reseller of the high quality jewelry. Even though many of the products sold on our site may look similar to those sold by famous designers, they are not made by any famous designer.http://www.bali-hands.com
