Orange County Summer Art Experience #1: The Sawdust Art Festival
In Laguna Beach, the Sawdust Festival is home to numerous types of artists. This art festival is geared to educate the public about local art as well as to give artists a place to showcase their work. Every artist involved in the Sawdust Festival is a current resident of Laguna Beach, giving viewers a glimpse into what Orange County art has to offer. Unlike other art exhibits, the Sawdust Festival is completely outdoors. Individual booths are created by the artists each year and the entire festival grounds are covered with sawdust. This ensures that each year guests will experience something completely new and different. This year the Sawdust Festival will be celebrating 44 years of tradition with the theme "Spring into Art." The festival runs June 25-August 29, 2010, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
