Barbecue Rib Sauce Recipes

In need of a few new recipes for barbecuing your ribs this summer? Give these recipes and try and your family will be thrilled.

Country Style Ribs

1 jalapeno pepper

15 oz can peach slices, drained

½ cup chopped onion

¼ cup light corn syrup

1 tablespoons steak sauce

1/4 teaspoon ground cumin

½ cup peach chutney

3 lbs country style pork ribs

Remove seeds, stems and then quarter jalapeno pepper. Chop and set aside.

In a blender combine peach slices, onion, corn syrup, steak sauce and cumin. Blend until smooth. Pour in saucepan and stir in chutney and peppers. Cook over low heat and remove.

Cut fat from ribs and cook slowly for 2 hours on grill. The last 10-15 minutes brush with sauce. Heat remaining mixture and serve on the side.

Apple Butter Ribs

1 cup apple butter

2 teaspoons vinegar

1 teaspoon horse radish mustard

½ teaspoon celery seed

½ teaspoon sugar

½ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon garlic

1/8 teaspoon pepper

3 lbs country style pork ribs

Stir together apple butter, vinegar, mustard, celery seed, sugar, salt, garlic and pepper until boiling. Stir often and remove.

Trim fat from ribs and cook about 2 hours. Brush sauce on the last 15 minutes and serve. Use remaining sauce on the side.

Braised Beef Ribs

3 lbs beef short ribs

½ teaspoon salt

15 oz can Italitan style tomato sauce

1 onion chipped

1 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon

¼ teaspoon pepper

Trim fat from meat and cook on grill for 1 ½ hours on low. In the meantime combine the other ingredients in saucepan and heat until just before a boil. Brush on ribs the last 15 minutes and keep remainder on the side.

Chutney Spareribs

3-4 lbs of pork spareribs

Salt to taste

1 cup snipped chutney

½ bottle of chili sauce

2 tablespoons vinegar

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon dry mustard

½ teaspoon onion powder

Hot pepper as many dashes as you like (2-4)

1 tablespoon of water

Mix all ingredients, except ribs, in saucepan and heat until almost boiling. Then simmer for 5 minutes. Trim fat from ribs and grill on low for about 2 hours. Brush sauce on the last 15 minutes and keep the rest on the side.
