Summer Baseball Camps for Kids

Summer is just around the corner and now is the time to start thinking about what you want your kids to do during summer vacation. Are they into baseball? I have got some great baseball camps just waiting for your kid listed below. All of these baseball camps are overnight camps and pricing will not include travel.

Penn State Sport Camps - Baseball Camp: This camp is located at Penn State University Park on two dates this summer: July 27-30, August 7-10. It is a baseball centric sport program for boys in grades six through twelve and is coached by several All-America and college level baseball coaches. Nike Baseball Camps: Nike Corporation sponsors baseball camps in 14 states across the nation and hosts multiple camps in each location each summer. Overnight camps for ages 10-18 runs 5 days and runs $495. The staff at each Nike camp varies, but typically includes college level baseball coaches including, for example, Craig Rainey the head coach from Adrian College in Michigan. The leaders of other baseball camps sport similar credentials. One unique feature of these camps is that each participant gets a written personalized evaluation of their baseball skills.

Doyle Baseball Summer Academy 2009: The Doyle Academy is a much more intense program from July 5th though July 24th. Your child will not only increase their baseball athletic ability through instruction from former professional players, they will also learn includes learn sports nutrition and sports psychology. Professional Sports Camp - Baseball: This camp has two locations in the New York/New Jersey area for 2009 with week long camps running in June, July, and August. In this overnight camp, you child will learn though positional play, lectures, and drills. The camp runs $655 per week and you can sign up for multiple weeks. Sho-Me Baseball Camp: This baseball camp located in Branson, Missouri is a week long camp from Sunday to Friday in July. Campers are separated by age group and ability level. This year features three guest instructors who were professional baseball players: Gaylord Perry, Jerry Buchek, and Bill Wakefield.
