Razor
Between the bathing suits, shorts and tanks, a razor is a must-have product. Keep the body free from unwanted fuzz with a Venus razor, which has multiple blades to offer you a close shave. Razors also come with aloe vera or moisturizing strips to leave skin super soft after shaving. Add a double dose of moisturizing as you shave by using a shaving cream, instead of a gel.
Sunscreen
Sunburns are never sexy, and they sure as heck do not feel good. Before leaving the house each day, use a sunscreen of at least SPF 30 to protect your skin from burns and prevent early signs of aging. Many formulas make application easy, including spray varieties or wipes. Throw a few sunscreen wipes into your purse if you plan on heading out for a long period of time. Sweat and water can dilute the protection, so apply every few hours.
Eyeliner
One way to enhance your eyes is with the help of jumbo eyeliner pencils. The thick pencil makes application a breeze, and the variety of waterproof colors allow you to think outside the box without looking clownish. For summer, choose funky colors like eggplant or turquoise to dress up the eyes. Add a small amount of shimmering foundation to your skin, and your beauty routine is done.
Fragrance
Summer scents should be light and fresh, so choose a body spray that features citrusy or soft floral scents. If you don't wear perfume, choose a body wash or lotion in a scent of your choice to offer fragrance to the skin. Bath and Body Works or Victoria's Secret has tons of options when it comes to body sprays, especially in summer scents like Peach Nectar or Coconut Lime.
Self-Tanner
Give yourself a bit of color before heading out, with the help of self-tanner. Shave and moisturize before using to ensure even coverage, then apply as directed and allow to dry. If you want a gradual tan, select a product like Banana Boat, which allows you to choose your own formula with the help of a dial that dispenses the ideal amount of self-tanner.
For many, summer is a season to kick back and enjoy the outdoors. Minimize your routine to allow your natural beauty to shine through, while still looking your best.
