Summer Camps in Pennsylvania: Top Five

Summer Camp Sound Good for Your Children This Year?

Donald Pennington
Summer camp has been a long tradition for many families around America for several years. It's a good chance for your kids to learn something truly interesting, have some fun, and make some new friends that they'll never forget. I remember going to summer camp myself. I'll never forget what it was like climbing Black Mesa Mountain with my friends. I'll certainly always remember the friends I made there.

So to help ye un's from Pennsylvania I've scoured the web in search of the top five summer camps in Pennsylvania for your kids that I could find. The criteria for this list was that the camps are safe, reasonably priced, will keep the kids occupied, and have an established reputation, and that they are transparent to parents with questions.

ESF Camp was founded by brothers Michael and Bill Rouse in 1982. They have an established reputation for safety and fun for your child(ren), in different activities from ages 9 to 15, as well as a Day Camp for children ages 4 to 8.

Located in Chestnut Hill, Pennsylvania, ESF Camp's swimming, sports, eco-quests, and "True-Life Adventures will fill your children's memories for years to come! If you'd like to contact ESF Camps with your questions you can call them at 610-581-7100. You're also welcome to see a lot more detail, and even register, online at their website: www.esfcamps.com

Now if any of the other selections are just too far away, or, if you just know that your kid would be miserable without a stack of books beside them then maybe you should check out La Petite Academy Summer Camps. Now, just because I've put these folks at the number one position on my list doesn't necessarily mean that the others are worse. I just really think that if I were ten again, I'd probably willingly clean my room and do other chores, to go to this camp. Julian Krinsky Camps and Programs is in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. You can reach them toll-free at 1-866-879-5527, or, you can visit them online at www.jkcp.com and see for yourself what they offer.

There's the best of all possible worlds for a summer camp at Julian Krinsky Camps and Programs. You have your outdoor activities, your intellectual stimulation, and did anyone mention sports? These guys have working relationships with actual professional football and baseball teams! A kid can actually be a summer intern for the Phillies. Oh my!

They offer programs in different age ranges from 4 years old, all the way up to high school, and one of the lowest staff to camper ratios anywhere. One of my favorite points about this program is, in the FAQ page, kids are advised to leave their gaming systems and other electronics home, since they're gonna be too busy to use them anyway.
