Do you have an 11-14 year old that doesn't know what to do for the summer? Summer jobs are scarce and maybe your child can't find a job. Then again, maybe your child is in the bottom of this age group and too young to work. Or maybe you'd like to get your child off the computer and enjoy some outdoor fun with other kids. There is a summer day camp sponsored by the Montrose Recreation District for students in this age group.

The Montrose Recreation District has announced their Club 1114 schedule for this summer. If your child is interested, this would be a great summer day camp to learn all kinds of activities and to socialize with other students in the same age group.

There are two sessions offered this summer and both are four week programs that run daily, Monday -Thursday. Participants will enjoy team sports, indoor and outdoor games depending on the weather, and learn how to enrich their educational pursuits. This is a great day camp program and will help get your child off the computer and interacting with other kids in the same age group.

Both sessions of Club 1114 are supervised with a ratio of 1 staff member to 10 participants. This ensures quality programs and training.

Session I will begin on June 6 and end on June 30; Monday-Thursday from 1-4 PM.

Session II will begin on July 11 and end on August 4; Monday-Thursday from 1-4 PM.

All participants must pre-register for each full session. There will be no daily or drop-in registrations. To register you can visit the Montrose Recreation District Aquatic Center at 25 Colorado Ave., in Montrose or call 970 249-7705.

Participants must be between 11-14 years of age and the fee is $75 per 4-week program. The sessions will be held at the McNeil Office on 2104 S Rio Grande Ave., in Montrose.

For more information, please call 970 249-7705.
