The sun beams down from the sky
The clouds are playing hide and seek
An ice cream truck rolls slowly by
And children jump rocks across the creek
The clouds are playing hide and seek
An ice cream truck rolls slowly by
And children jump rocks across the creek
Summer days seem simple and free
No homework to do or place to be
Faster and faster the days slip past
Already another ten years are gone
You really wanted it to last,
But alas, the curtain is drawn.
Summer days need to be simple and free
Or at least...that's how they used to be.
