Then a stop in Camden, SC should be first, where a trip to the Historic Camden Revolutionary War Site Park will give you a chance to step back in time, see old colonial homes and even a black smith area. This Historic Park is open daily except holidays and offers free self-guided tours or scheduled guided tours for a fee, see tours.
Jamin' In July-A great time to visit would be in July when Jamin' in July is held at Historic Camden. This festival is a family fun event with activities for all. Spring Market Day held in May, is also located at the Historic Camden. This event is held on 5/10/2008. At the market you can find home crafts, vintage items and much more. Other vendors on site as well see this website for times and more information.
Camden, SC is famous for its steeplechase races. The Carolina Cup (held in spring) and the Colonial Cup (held in fall), provide enjoyment for all but polo lovers can enjoy The Camden Polo Cup Match on May 4. The Black Cowboy Man or Myth African American Festival held in the town of Rembert, a short drive from Camden, is a cultural festival to encourage awareness of African Americans living the lives of cowboys and farmers.
