You're bound to find something that peaks your interest during the IU Summer Musical Festival, and on-going event from mid-June through mid-August. The festival includes a variety of concerts, such as jazz, orchestral, and even outdoor music. The very popular Smithsonian Jazz Masterworks Orchestra always gives an outstanding performance. If you love Chamber Music, be sure to check out famous musicians such as the Beaux Arts Trio and the Penderecki Quartet. Spend a summer evening on the lawn of the MAC during one of the outdoor concerts. Some of the events are free, and pricing ranges for ticketed concerts. Locations vary with each presentation, so be sure to contact the IU Jacob's School of Music at (812) 855-9846 for this year's lineup.
