If you think kaftans can only be worn as beach cover-ups, you are very wrong. Pair a bright kaftan with a pair of skinny white jeans and metallic heels and you will look dazzling out on the town. A full-length kaftan can be worn with a pair of flat thong sandals for the perfect "entertaining at home" look. Of course, you should still feel free to wear a kaftan over your bikini for the most stylish beach cover-up.

This full-length turquoise silk kaftan is expensive ($1,420), but oh so beautiful. I would wear this lovely kaftan with a pair of silver flat thongs for an evening of at-home entertaining with friends.

This pink and blue floral kaftan is less expensive than the braided kaftan above, but it is just as stylish. The flamboyant floral pattern is perfect for summer. This full-length kaftan sells for $635.
