Summer Festivals, Fairs and Events in Oceanside, California
Fun Community Summer Events for Oceanside Residents and Visitors
Oceanside, CA 92054
United States of America
The Oceanside Farmer's Market is an ongoing event that must not be missed. Every Thursday morning from 9:00am to 1:00pm certified vendors offer fresh produce, flowers and natural foods for sale. Located on Pier View Way between N. Coast Hwy. and Ditmar St.
On Thursday evenings the Sunset Market brings more local produce, and other goods for sale. The best part of this evening event is the many foods available to try, everything from Mexican, barbeque to Middle Eastern. There are local bands playing, artisans, and civic organizations to check out. This event is fun for the whole family, with a kids corner and bouncer for the children. You can go and just walk around not spending a dime. Or buy a meal and products, it's all up to you! Times are from 5:00 to 9:00pm. Located just down the street from the morning market at Pier View Way between N. Coast Hwy. and Cleveland St. Free and metered street parking, also lot parking available downtown.
Inter-Tribal Pow Wow will be held June 14 and 15 this year. This is one of my favorite festivals with Native American dances, music, food and craft booths. Let's not forget the jewelry vendors! Many different tribes participate in this event every year. This family event is a great way to learn and share Native American culture. Open on Saturday the 14th from 9:00am to 11:30 pm and Sunday the 15th from 9:00am to 7:00pm. Located at the historic San Luis Rey Mission Grounds at 4050 Mission Ave., Oceanside. Parking available on Mission grounds. For information call (760)724-8505.
Freedom Days Parade on June 28th from 10:00 to 12:30. This annual parade is a wonderful community event. Celebrate Independence Day with local dignitaries, marching bands, car clubs, churches, and veterans. American flags will be passed out along the parade route. Located on N. Coast Highway from Wisconsin Street to Surfrider Way. Parking is available on side streets, N. Coast Hwy. will be closed to traffic.
31st Annual Christmas in July is an artisan fair for those that just love to get an early start on holiday shopping! This is a fun festival being held July 12 & 13th. One of the cutest crafts items I have seen at this event was a surfing Santa Claus ornament made out of a starfish! That pretty much sums up Christmas in Oceanside! This year there will be live entertainment, games, kid's zone, and food along with the crafts - over 175 vendors. Located on the San Luis Rey Mission Grounds, free parking available.
All of these festivals, fairs, and events highlight the community spirit that Oceanside has to offer. Mark your calendars, bring the family and enjoy!
