The entire month of May, Leavenworth pays homage to the arts with the Leavenworth Community Coffeehouse. Set up in Front Street Park, the "coffeehouse" takes place in candlelight, is open to adults and kids alike, and is set up concert style in an attempt to cut down on talking during the performances. The nominal fee of $2.00 per person gets you in, and if you want to give the artists a little something extra, they "pass the hat" for donations. There are also drinks and cookies under the same system of donations. Any style of music you can think of is bound to appear on stage at least once during the month. If you would like to attend, find out who will be appearing, or need directions, it is all at http://www.leavenworthcoffeehouse.com/
