Alcohol: This is by far the most prohibited item on the beach, alcohol. Although different beaches vary in the items you can and can't bring, alcohol is prohibited by 99. 9% of all beaches (email me if you find one where it's allowed!). If you're planning to sip a couple beers or margaritas for the day, either do it before or after you've left the beach. Displaying alcohol in public on the beach could cause you to get a pricey violation ticket!
Fireworks: Fireworks are never permitted at the beach. This can also be said for fires of any kind. If you have fireworks, leave them at home for the day as disobeying this beach law could rang you up a $500 fee.
Metal Detectors: Sure we all want to get rich and strike gold, however; metal detectors are prohibited at most beaches. Most of the time, you have to acquire a permit to use a metal detector on beaches that are packed with crowds. Using the metal detector against beach rules won't typically cost you a find, but it may cause you to be asked to leave.
Glass Containers: All of the beaches have gone green; this means you must also go green while you're attending the beach. This means bring no class containers, whether they're eating or drinking containers. All materials must be plastic and easy to dispose in recycling containers. If you do bring other materials, make sure you clean up all of your trash, littering on the beach will cost you a major littering fine.
No Vehicles: You can't bring vehicles onto the beach at any time! This goes for all motorcycles, ATV's, golf carts and cars will not be permitted. This also goes for if you have any gas or electric scooters. Use the rule of thumb that if the vehicle is not safe and legal for the street, it won't be for the beach either.
Pets: A lot of beaches have different rules when it comes to pets; however, most beaches restrict you from bringing your pets. If they do allow pets such as dogs to be on the beach, you will need to check the dates and times. Bringing dogs to the beach is not permitted during certain times of the season. As always, if you do bring your pet, make sure you clean up after them, this means pet waste.
