Fernbank Museum of Natural History - Museum Sleepovers
On Sunday August 2, Fernbank Museum of Natural History in Atlanta will be offering a chance for families and small groups to spend the night at their museum. Museum Sleepovers will begin at 6 pm and commence at 9:30 am the next morning. The event will be facilitated by the museum's staff. Several activities are planned for this night including finding a special artifact that they will have hidden somewhere in the museum. Arena At Gwinnett Center - American Idol 2009 Summer Tour
On July 31, the American Idol 2009 Summer Tour will be coming to the Arena At Gwinnett Center located in Duluth, just outside of Atlanta. The top ten finalists, Adam Lambert, Kris Allen, Danny Gokey, Allison Iraheta, Lil Rounds, Megan Joy, Anoop Desai, Matt Giraud, Michael Sarver and Scott MacIntyre, will perform musical numbers from their American Idol performances.

Piedmont Park - Sir Paul McCartney Tour
Sir Paul McCartney will be appearing at Piedmont Park in Atlanta on August 15. Paul will be performing hits from his days with the Beatles and Wings as well as his own timeless songs. This will be a benefit concert for the Piedmont Conservancy. Tickets are $79 and are available through Ticketmaster and LiveNation.

Fox Theater - 42nd Street Performance
On July 28 running until August 2, the Fox Theater in Atlanta will be presenting 42nd Street. Former Mash star, Loretta Swit will star in this musical extravaganza. 42nd Street is the story of a young woman who comes to New York to be discovered. The show features exciting dance performances and extraordinary sets and costumes.

The Center For Pupperty Arts - Pinocchio
Lee Bryan, That Puppet Guy, will be performing his rendition of Pinocchio at The Center For Puppertry Arts in Atlanta from July 28 through August 9. Puppets used in this show are made from recycled items. Pinocchio features Italian music and encourages audience participation.

Atlanta Falcons Training Camp
Beginning on August 1 until August 22, the Atlanta Falcons training camp will be open to the public with free admission. This facility is located in Flowery Branch, about 40 minutes from Atlanta. A list of scheduled daily activities can be found on their website, www.atlantafalcons.com .
