This stunning garden is situated high in the Rocky Mountains in the silhouette of Colorado's gorge range. Beautiful rock gardens, perennial beds and waterfalls will be a treat for your eyes. They offer a huge array of the most unique high elevation plants to say the least. If you have never been to the Betty Ford Alpine Gardens your truly missing out on a real beautiful experience. You may also want to partake in the many activities that have to offer for all ages.
If you are into music there are two great venues that offer up some free entertainment. The Gerald R Ford Amphitheater offers Budweiser Hot Summer Nights Concerts for free on Tuesday nights from mid June through the end of July. The Beaver Creek Concert Series during July and August offers free music ranging in genres from blues, jazz, Celtic and Latin. They run every Saturday at 4:30 pm. So get into the grove and enlighten your musical side. You may also want to take the time to learn about a different genre of music you never know you may just find a new love of music lurking around the corner.
Take a walk down Wall Street in Vail Villages to see and solve the Wall Street Riddles. Have fun trying to solve riddles with loved ones and friends. Then if you find yourself stumped, write them down and come home and search for them online to see if you can find the answers.
Have you ever wanted to experience a Gondola Ride? Well here is your chance as Eagle Bahn Gondola offers free rides up Vail Mountain through out the summer on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 4pm to 9pm. So experience something new for free.
There is nothing like the comfort of friends and family joining to watch a movie together, what makes the Avon's Lakeside Cinema in Nottingham Park even more incredible is they offer a free outdoor film series in the summer on Fridays nights at 8:30pm. Each week a large screen is erected for those classics and favorites films. So grab a blanket and some family friends and enjoy a night movie under the stars.
Vail's Farmer market offer some of the best vendors in Colorado. Items usually include organic items, specialty items, soaps, even smoked salmon, a variety of fruits and vegetables and so much more. As the venue is free to attend anything you would want to buy of course would come at a cost.
So there you see Vail Colorado offers many fun and exciting events for your summer fun. If it's a family or a couple or someone by themselves they can explore some of what Vail has to offer even if there activity budget is low and enjoy the sites and recreation of the city.
