Summer is a Going Out

A Poem

Peter Flom
Summer is agoing out
Not something that I'm sad about
No more sweating just to get to work

Summer is agoing out
It will be back next year no doubt
And in this fall more hot days lurk.

Autumn is acoming in
And that makes me want to grin
Crisp fall days, and fans not needed.

Winter, spring, summer fall
That's part of nature's endless call.
And each by each is e'er succeeded.

The weather 'extremes' the past two years make me wonder--or forget--which season I like beat!

Although I love your poem, I still like summer the best of all the seasons.

We all complained about the long winter last year and everyone wanted the summer. Now, everybody is complaining about the hot weather and can't wait until it cools off. We humans are a funny lot.

I am ready to head to the mountains again to get away from summer heat! I hope to see some early Fall colors in the Aspen.

We still have 100 degrees forecast for today and tomorrow, then a break in the weather! Looking forward to Fall time temperatures!
