Summer in Grapevine, Texas: What to Do and Where to Go

Manda Spring
There are so many delightfully small towns in this country, and one has caught my eye, Grapevine Texas. If you find yourself traveling through Texas you just might want to stop and enjoy Grapevine.

There is a vast array of little shops and quaint stores that truly remind of decades past in the idea that they are friendly and hold more special value than just technology and jewelry... although there are many of those types of stores around as well if that is more your type of shopping excursion.

The wineries are well known; perhaps the irony gave a clue to the rich supply of the area vines and production thereof. Su Vino and D Vine Wine are two of the most spectacular places to visit if not just soak up the atmosphere and taste the delight of nature. From the live music, to the wine tasting and the gifts available, makes this a must do on anyone's itinerary.

Great Wolf Lodge is a superb place to come together in Grapevine. This rustic and woodsy environment allows for a truly fascinating time. An 80 foot indoor water park can't be beat in any weather as it is set to 84 degrees at all times making this the most enjoyable resort in Grapevine. It houses a great number of water slides, structures and tide pools among many other fantastic play areas.

Amidst the golf courses, exquisite dining, the vast wineries, antique gift stores, holiday themed shops, the vintage train rides, and the art museums, you and your family can find enjoyment where ever you look.

But, if this isn't enough to make your heart flutter with happiness then perhaps you can enjoy another little pearl of entertainment. The Grapevine Lake is a wonderful way to enjoy the beauty around you. There are some boat rentals at the Marina to maximize your enjoyment. For fishing, water skiing, and all around fun, Lake Grapevine is there to put a smile on your face.

No matter what you plan on doing in Grapevine Texas you can sure find immeasurable pleasures in all forms, shapes and sizes. It is an exciting vacation away from the everyday grind but in the pleasing form of a small town and friendly atmosphere. Getting back to the natural essence of a warm and nurturing environment while thoroughly enjoying yourself and putting satisfaction back into vacationing. I definitely recommend this destination for anyone who wants to get away from it all.
