Summer at Hollywood Bowl

Summer nights in Los Angeles can be more pleasant with music, dance and great Picnic gathering at the Hollywood Bowl. The Hollywood Bowl's location is a hidden magical place with a great view of the Hollywood famous and historical sign.
It is a paradise that transports us to the event attended in another dimension forgetting the traffic and its chaos outside. The time is reserved to enjoy, sing, dance and meet new people; time to enjoy with friends in such casual atmosphere.

Last summer, 2008, I spent most of my fun and relaxing times at Hollywood Bowl. Finally I was able to attend Playboy Jazz Festival. It usually gets sold out quickly!
This year's Playboy Jazz Festival ticket information, some sold out already came last month (January 2009).
Playboy Jazz Festival was a superb experience; Saturday show was great. I also may not forget that Bill Cosby hosts the event. Hugh Hefner showed up as well. Sunday had all or most of the known artists.
Most of the people are lucky to attend both days; some attendees come from everywhere.

I missed some concerts that I was not able to attend as UB 40, and another musician on the Wednesday concerts.
Definitely, I went to see Paolo Nutini with his wonderful voice! Etta James singing At Last live was great and her interaction with the audience unforgettable.

The world music and Bossa Nova shows were great as well. Usually some of these shows are held on Wednesday evenings at 7pm.
I became familiar with people from the shops and food court. I attended a variety of concerts and my seats were usually at the same spot.

The other event I always wanted to attend was Sing Along with The Sound of Music. I was saw people mentioning about in New York and so forth. I bought my ticket and then months later as a meet up to catch up with an old college friend I invited her. The event got sold out quickly as well. Then she got tickets through eBay or so; I ended up sitting in a new area at Hollywood Bowl closer to the stage. It's very nice area near a neat restaurant with a nice menu and the view from the stage.
Last year Melissa Peterman and one of the actors (Charmian Carr) from the movie hosted Sing Along with the Sound of Music. Melissa Peterman was very amusing and entertaining; so was Charmian Carr.
The loveliest part of the event was the costume and themes. I found them so clever. I regretted deeply that I did not wear one for the event. I always said that I would wear one for the event.
The event is very interactive and unforgettable. It is a family event with many children in costume. The most beautiful view was to see all of audience, sing along with bright as a rock concert. It was packed and sold out.
