Summer Jobs for Teens

Summertime is a great time for teens to get jobs. Whether it be your first summer job, or not, I'm sure you want a way to make your own money. Not having to rely on mom and dad for that $20 bucks to go to the movies or that $50 bucks to get the newest summer kicks is great. Question is, where do I find a job in Riverside? Believe it or not, there are many jobs open in the city of Riverside, but putting in your application before summer begins is the key.

The best place to inquire on a summer job in Riverside is the Tyler Mall. There is so many stores to choose from and usually just before summer is when they put out the help wanted ads. Stores like PAC Sun, DEB, Hollister, Claire's, and Hot Topic are always looking for young, fun and energetic people. Also, the food court in the mall is a great place to look for work because they are always needing employees. The starting age at most mall stores is 16 years old, and no previous experience is required. Starting pay is minimum wage.

If the mall is not your scene and you can handle a fast paced environment, a fast food, frozen yogurt, or smoothie shop could be perfect for you. Not to mention these places have awesome perks like free food or discounted smoothies. Fast food jobs are usually part time work and you may be able to continue working when summer is over. If you have a drivers license and insurance, one of the funnest teen summer jobs is a delivery driver for your local pizza place. Pizza Hut and Domino's are always hiring for delivery drivers and the job is easy money. I remember when I drove delivery for KFC, my shift went by so fast and I always had money in my pocket because of tips. Delivery drivers make minimum wage and get paid an hourly for the hours you work, but you also get tips during your shift so each day you walk away with cash. The hours for a delivery driver are part time, and you must be at least 16 years old with a valid drivers license. Summer time is such a busy season for pizza places so inquire before summer.
