Babysitting
As a babysitter, you would only have to work part time, whenever you want or can. This allows you to still have time to still have the option to go out and have fun with friends or go to summer camp. Babysitting as a job, will also give you a great sense of responsibility.
Housekeeper
You could do simple housekeeping jobs in the summer and earn quite a bit of money. Some people are too busy too do simple tasks like dusting, ironing, washing windows, etc. and they pay a lot of money to have cleaning companies fulfill these tasks for them. Hiring a tween for the job would be a great alternative, because they work cheaper, therefore finding business won't be hard. To get business, I suggest you post flyers in local cafes, grocery stores, and churches.
Lawn Care
Lawn care includes mowing grass, raking leaves, and watering plants etc. These tasks are very simple, and most clients will already have the equipment needed. You could easy make $20 for this kind of service. I suggest distributing flyers in local businesses or sticking them in your neighbor's mailboxes.
Selling Items
If you make jewelry, you could set up a table in your front yard and sell it. You could also sell unwanted items, drinks, and baked goods and drinks. This would be like a garage sale / jewelry sale / bake sale / lemonade stand, and it could put a lot of extra cash in your pocket! Post flyers on telephone poles in your neighborhood, and keep your prices reasonable.
Dog Walking / Pet Sitting
Dog walking and pet sitting can help you learn responsibility, as well as provide a great way for exercise. If you love dogs, then this job would be fun for you. How cool is that, to be payed for having fun!
