Summer in the Mountains: a Summer Poem

There's No Place like Home

Barbie Crafts

Summer in the city,

Summer at the beach,

Summertime in Dixie,

A pretty Georgia peach.

But summer in the mountains

Has a charm all its own;

Singing in a porch swing,

Ice cream in a cone.

Barefoot in the green grass,

Chasing "lightening bugs,"

Family get togethers,

Casseroles and hugs.

In the good old summertime,

Days full of sunshine,

Spend your summer anywhere,

But I'll stay home for mine!
