Summer Plans: Come Experience Mayfest in Downtown Tulsa

With the nicer weather and warmer temperatures slowly creeping their way back in, you may be starting to make your plans for this spring and summer. There are a lot of things in Tulsa to do when the weather is nice, but one thing that you are not going to want to miss this spring is Mayfest 2009.

Mayfest is an annual outdoor festival in Downtown Tulsa that supports the arts and music of the city. Over the course of four days each year, there is a broad range of music and arts displayed in the downtown area. As a family-oriented festival, you are encouraged to bring every member of the family -- no matter the age. No doubt, you will be able to find something for everyone. If you find yourself Downtown Tulsa you can enjoy some live music of Rock and Roll, Country, Classical, Jazz, or Pop while browsing the arts, crafts, pottery, and photography, or take the little ones down to the KidZone for some age appropriate fun and creativity. This year, Mayfest will be taking place Downtown Tulsa from Thursday, May 14^th through Sunday, May 17^th. The coordinators of this year's Mayfest are still looking for volunteers to make the Tulsa arts and music festival as much of a success as it has been in past years. They need help in coupon sales, beverage sales, souvenir sales, Art Gallery host, KidZone activities, and artist relations.
