Sea Sea Riders is a cozy little blue house located on Main St. of the small-town feel of downtown Dunedin, Florida. Recently voted Best Chef Specials by Tampa Bay Magazine, Sea Sea Riders offers great food at a reasonable price and plenty of variety to choose from. With a porch wrapping around the restaurant and the open-air eating coupled with the relaxed jeans and t-shirt atmosphere, Sea Sea's provides the authentic home cooked feel that you might be looking for.
Just as the name suggests, this waterfront spot lets the cool air come right off of the bay to greet you while you eat, drink, and share stories with friends and family. A small beach just outside of this hotspot offers beachside food to its patrons, but when the sun becomes unrelenting just step inside and cool off with Bahama Mama and enjoy the great coconut shrimp or something else from their extensive seafood menu. When the sun sets, set up camp next to the tiki bar and enjoy the vibrant but slightly subdued nightlife that Bahama Breeze offers
.
Jackson's is the tale of two restaurants. By day it's a calm but hip bistro that offers good food in a hot location on the deck overlooking the Harbour Island waterfront. An upscale eatery, Jackson's has a wide variety of wines with a list that spans over 500 bottles. On Sunday they offer a typical continental brunch indoors and on the deck. At night the bistro transforms into a trendy upscale club for South Tampa. With cabanas draped in white curtains and a bustling outdoor bar in the center of the deck, Jackson's has something for everybody.
4. Frenchy's
If you want the typical sand-side seafood grill to watch a fiery sunset, then Frenchy's is the place to be. With four to choose from, the Rockaway Grill is always the most popular. Girls in bikinis and guys in boardshorts walk right up to the beachside bar for a drink or to check the score of the Rays game on one of the many TV's around the place. Bright, island-inspired décor and always cheerful servers, it's impossible to be in a bad mood, especially when you try their grilled mahi mahi sandwich.
These are four places with very different personalities that exhibit the best parts about the Tampa/Clearwater area. Do yourself a favor and grab a bite!
