Smoothies are a great way to bring summer in. It's also a way for your kiddies to try something new and out of the ordinary. I hope these recipes will bring out the artist in you. Happy tasting!

Cinnamon Apple & Maple Smoothie

Ingredients

2 cups apple sauce (you can even dice apple to add more texture and flavor)
½ tsp cinnamon
1 cup apple cider
2 tbsp maple syrup
½ tsp nutmeg (if you want)

Place all of these ingredients in a blender until they reach a smooth consistency. It should serve 2.

Banana Lime Smoothie

2 cups limeade
3 Tbs. coconut milk
1 cup lime sherbert
1 cup ice

Place all of these ingredients in a blender and set blender at 'mix' for thirty seconds. Next, let it blend on 'smooth' until it's reaches a fine consistency. You may stir to help with the mixing. Should serve 3-5.

Chocolate Raspberry Mint Smoothie

2 cups milk
¼ cup of instant cocoa mix
½ tsp peppermint extract
1 pint of ice cream
1 cup frozen raspberries

First, heat the milk for just under 1 minute on high in the microwave. Pour milk into a container, add the cocoa mix, and place in the blender until smooth. Add the mint, raspberries, and ice cream and continue blending.
