Guidelines for Wearing a Tank Top to Work
My first recommendation for wearing a tank top to work is to make sure that the tank top you choose provides adequate coverage. If you are busty (which sadly has never been one of my problems) it is best if you wear your tank top under a jacket or cardigan sweater. If you are planning to wear a tank top to the office, choose one in a silk or soft cotton fabric. Lightly embellished tank tops look nice when worn under a suit jacket. If you plan to wear your tank top alone and not under a jacket or sweater make sure, you choose a tank top with wide straps. Do not wear a spaghetti strap tank top to the office unless you are wearing it under a jacket.
Make Sure Those Bra Straps Don't Show
My final piece of advice is to always make sure that your bra straps are concealed. Nothing looks more unprofessional than seeing someone's bra strap sliding down her shoulder. The best way to ensure that your bra straps do not show is to wear a strapless bra or to pin or fasten the bra straps to the underside of your tank top. I have a wonderful Missoni tank top that has fasteners that clip around my bra strap, which ensures that my straps will not inadvertently slip.
