as a new season says hello,
the aroma of coconut is replaced by perfumed leaves.
Children jump in puddles and leaves,
to the ground apples and pomegranates fall,
the new season says farewell to watermelons; to pineapples hello.
Jack-O-Lanterns glow as they say hello,
scarecrows get hats adorned with leaves,
umbrellas, rain boots and jackets protect from the rain fall.
As summer fades, autumn says hello with falling leaves.
