Summer Travel Guide to Aruba on a Budget

The Perfect Way to Enjoy Aruba on a Budget!

Super Duper
Aruba is a very, very underrated but is known as one of the most beautiful places in the world. The problem is - it can become a very expensive vacation. Unless you plan your trip correctly, you can end up paying triple of what you should have ended up paying at the end of the trip!

Here are some tips you can use to save money on your next vacation!

What to Do:

- Check out the Dutch Architecture. These structures played a huge role in the development of Aruba. Best part - they're inexpensive to see!

- Go Diving! The best part of Aruba is its diving zones. Make sure you enjoy these since they will make or break your trip to Aruba. You can find packages at your hotel to find better rates!

- Windsurfing. One of the more exciting things to do at Aruba. I truly enjoyed this experience as its one of the best places to do this!

- Boca Catalina and the Antilla Shipwreck - These are 2 of the many sites snorkel tours will take you. The Antillla Shipwreck is the remains of a scuttled 400-foot German cargo ship that was anchored off of Aruba during WW2.

- Eagle Beach - Often called "1 of the 10 best beaches in the world"

What to Eat:

- If you want to eat the most authentic food, eat at the smaller joints! It will be cheaper and taste much better.

-Remember, just because it's more expensive, doesn't necessarily make it better tasting!

- I recommend trying all the authentic food, which will be a mix between traditional West Indies food - with a Dutch twist!

-Aruba has a lot of chains that Americans are familiar with - including Taco Bell, McDonalds, and Wendy's! These are quick and inexpensive, and taste exactly like their American counterparts!

Where to Stay:

- Remember, safety is first. Don't jeopardize savings for the safety of your family.

-Tahiti is safe. But don't go too far off the beaten path. Stay at a hotel further from the city limits, and you will save more money. We stayed at a smaller hotel not too far from the city - and saved nearly half the money!

- Book a room for multiple nights and you will be able to negotiate for a lower rate!

- I recommend the Holiday Inn Resort since it was inexpensive and very comforting!

Don't let the high initial price tag stop you from enjoying Aruba!
