As far as hotel-wise, I would personally recommend anyone who is on a tight budget to stay in a B&B, which is commonly known as the Bed and Breakfast. The price of a B&B is usually half of that of an average hotel. Furthermore, it provides breakfast daily, and this means that you won't have to incur any additional expenses on breakfast! Great, isn't it? Certain B&Bs in Europe have an Internet Café corner whereby you may use the internet for a small fee. This helps you to keep in touch with your family at a small fraction of the cost as compared to long distance phone calls. Readers may be interested to take a look at this website for a list of the B&Bs in Europe which offers not only Bed and Breakfast, but also Internet Café: http://www.whenwebedandbreakfast.com/bed_and_breakfast_destination/europe/2/internet_access_inns.jsp
Follow the locals and eat where they do as they, being the locals in Europe, will be able to source out which eateries offers inexpensive and tasty food. Certain eateries in Europe also may have TVs in their eateries, or some may also offer free entertainment. If you are unable to find such eateries, an alternative choice might be to eat at fast food restaurants (Burger King, Mac Donald, KFC etc). By choosing to have your meal there instead of a normal sophisticated restaurant, it will help to greatly reduce the expenses that you incur in your meals.
As for activities, readers may consider going to museums as most museums in the Europe cities offers free admission. Some may offer free admission only on certain stated days, or hours. No worries if you missed the stated timings as you can buy discount cards from the local office which will allow you to visit the museums at a discounted price. By doing so, it can help you to save a considerable amount of money.
By following this guide, you will not only be able to enjoy your Europe trip, but also save your travel budget at the same time.

Post a CommentI would definitely want to travel to Europe on a budget this summer. My suggestion though for food is not to eat at internationally recognized chains, these are more likely more expensive than a cheaper venue. If you want cheap, try a street vendor or a go down a side street to save some money and get real food.
