Here are some tips you can use to save money on your next vacation!

What To See:

- Tikehau. The perfect beaches. Crystal clear water. And empty. The perfect paradise. The best part is - it's not that expensive. It will be cheaper than Hawaii, yet offer more than the Bahamas. The perfect combination!

- Rurutu. If you love whales, you will love Rurutu. You will get the chance to swim alongside whales! The amazing part is - it also isn't expensive.

- Maupiti. Think Robinson Crusoe! The perfect getaway destination for the honeymoon!

- Snorkel. Not only is it one of the best places to snorkel, it won't cost you very much to do so - even for the whole family.

- Les Trois Cascades - Three beautiful waterfalls inside the island of Tahiti Nui. Won't cost you thing to see!

- Museums - It is interesting to visit the Museum of Tahiti and the Islands which has a rich collection of very old pieces and reconstructed historical scenes. The Black pearl museum as well as the Gauguin museum are fun to see if you want to get out of the heat.

- You also have the possibility of hiking, 4WD safari, golf since they are cost-effective ways of having fun!

What to Eat:

- If you want to eat the most authentic food, eat at the smaller joints! It will be cheaper and taste much better.

-Remember, just because it's more expensive, doesn't necessarily make it better tasting!

- I recommend trying all the authentic food, which will be a mix between traditional West Indies food - with a French twist!

- Roulottes - (snack shops on wheels) are especially popular on Friday nights to get some great Chinese food, crepes, and French-style dishes. You won't miss it since it is located along Papeete's waterfront. Unbelievably delicious meals at bargain prices in a fun and local atmosphere.

Where to Stay:

- Remember, safety is first. Don't jeopardize savings for the safety of your family.

-Tahiti is safe. But don't go too far off the beaten path. Stay at a hotel further from the city limits, and you will save more money. We stayed at a smaller hotel not too far from the city - and saved nearly half the money!

- Book a room for multiple nights and you will be able to negotiate for a lower rate!

- Stay outside of Papeete if you want a quieter, more pleasant smelling experience. Traffic is heavy in Papeete and so is the smell of it.

I hope these tips will help you enjoy the beautiful Tahiti to its fullest!

Nice tips! Seems like I missed all those places on my trip. My first (and currently, my only) article on here is about Tahiti, too, so I thought I'd check out similar ones. :)
