Summer Travel Without Breaking the Bank

L J Pearce
I love traveling but I know first hand how expensive it can be. Like everyone at the moment I am working with a limited budget for my summer travels.

However, instead of letting rising costs get to me and ruin my travel plans I am going to continue as normal and enjoy as much of my vacation and holiday as I can.

When planning my travel for this summer I planned in advance where I wanted to go and how much I wanted to spend, knowing this in advance made planning my travel and vacation a whole lot easier and enjoyable. Although planning may sound boring and tedious, I enjoyed it as it has given me so much to look forward to.

To save as much money on my summer break as I could I tried my best to plan ahead with regards to everything and anything, as I know that planning out what you want to do where and when can save you a heck of a lot of money. So with this in mind I set about planning out what I wanted to do, see and visit during my summer travels. I then went about getting the best prices, and most competitive prices, as like with anything prices varied from travel company to travel company. After a few days of haggling and negotiating I was able to save hundreds of dollars on my travel and on my planned/scheduled sightseeing activities, which made me and my bank balance happier.

When planning my travel I noticed that not all prices are rigid and set, and that more often than not prices quoted can be negotiated and haggled with. Taking a bit of time to compare prices of different product offers, especially accommodation is what saved me the most money while planning my summer travel. Simply because I knew what I wanted and shopped around until I got the best value for my money.

The biggest saving though I managed to make on my summer travel was on the travelling itself. By booking train tickets, plain tickets and bus tickets in advance I was able to save hundreds of dollars which meant I had more money to spend on myself and souvenirs. I booked my travel 3 months ahead of when I wanted it and in doing so saved myself the stress, hassle and worry of having to do it nearer the time.
