States to Visit
California
Now California, is a wonderful place to be in the summer, this coming from a Californian after all you might expect me to say that. When most people think of my state, it's the beaches. And yes we do have some of the most beautiful beaches around. There is also so much more than that.
We have mountains and forests both abundantly, just as beautiful if not more so than the beaches. We have Los Angeles, San Francisco and San Diego each full with attractions. Disney Land, California Adventures and a regular cornucopia of other attractions.
The point being, that California is huge and theres lots of things to do. That's why I recommend my home state as a place for visitors in the summer. Not to mention, the beautiful weather.
New York
This is my vacation spot this year. I live in your traditional kind of vacationing location, California. So I want to take a trip over to New York. Broadway, the City and a lot more with the girlfriend besides. My birthday in New York, should be enjoyable.
There are quite literally too many things to list to do in New York City, but being who I am I know I'll be visiting Strand Bookstores, 18 miles of used and new titles. Eighteen Miles of books and I plan to explore every inch of those miles this summer.
Florida
Disney World, Beaches, Everything in Miami the general mainland vacation place as long as you don't get eaten by alligators. Florida also has something for the geek in everybody, well the reading geeks at least. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Universal Orlando Resort.
Yes...you can go to Hogwarts over the summer. I want to, and I know a lot of you will too!
Hawaii
Do I really need to tell you why you would want to go to one of the iconic vacation spots not just in the United States but in the world? They're islands, they're beautiful and they are a good step away from the rest of things here on the mainland. If you're goal this summer is to relax and get away...you can't do better than Hawaii.
