Summer's Embrace
Question you ask,
Season of Summer?
Out came my gasp!
Oh, how you slumber!
To you I relate
The mark you did miss
You could be too late!
Fear not I'll desist!
Where, I implore!
Where to embark?
Much to explore
Here I will start
Melons mature
Red juicy sweet
Seeds to capture
More can I eat?
Heat wave beware
Don a wide brim
If you despair
Go for a swim!
Can I depart?
Will you submit?
Need I impart,
More summer spent?
Seashore, seashells
Castles of sand
Gulls above sail
Come, take my hand
Mountains to climb
Trails await tread
Ride with a bike
or hike on instead
Rock wall each side
Torrent between
We're still alive!
Can you believe?
Cool riverbend
Fish till content
Boy and his friend
Sleep in a tent
Star light, star bright
Bless me tonight
Fraught with firelight
I'll hold on tight!
Fall on your heels?
Don't lose your faith
Soon you will feel
Summer's embrace
