Summer's End
Summer's end is here
and I am not one to cheer,
but no more humidity
nor sun-burn stupidity;
I think the story is quite clear.
Don't get me wrong,
summer is sweet as a song
and I love the sand and beach
as well as a summer fresh peach,
but it's the season of fall that I long.
The kids start to annoy
because they fight over toys
since the summer lingers
and they have bored fingers,
so fall is welcome and a joy.
Crisp and cool weather at night
and the kids have one less fight,
summer was well and fine,
with lit up nights and glasses of wine,
but fall is a spot that is bright.
So goodbye summer, my friend,
it is time for you to end.
The fall will be upon us,
Colorful and not egregious,
until
we have do to it
all over again.

Wonderful! I love fall and spring. June and July is fine but Aug is horribly hot.
Wonderfully done! I love all of the seasons except for winter. He is just too brutal for me.
